About Monceau Capital
Advice for people who build, keep and pass on what matters.
An independent firm owned by its partners, with offices in New York and Geneva.

Our story
Founded on one simple promise.
In 1998, two bankers left a large institution with a handful of clients and a conviction: advice is only as good as the independence of the person giving it.
We still own the firm ourselves, still sell no products and still answer our own telephones.
- Owned by the partners
- Paid by our clients only
- Regulated in the United States and Switzerland
What we believe
Principles we will not trade.
I
Discretion
Your affairs are discussed with you and no one else. Our client list is never published.
II
Independence
We are paid by our clients only, so our advice has only one master.
III
Patience
Good decisions are rarely urgent. We take the time they deserve, and so does your capital.
Our history
Four chapters, one conviction.
1998
A first office
Two partners, one room overlooking Gramercy Park and a handful of loyal families.
2006
Geneva opens
A second office for families with interests on both sides of the Atlantic.
2015
The family office
A dedicated team for governance, property, staff and philanthropy.
Today
Still independent
Owned by the partners who advise you, and determined to stay that way.

A letter from our senior partner
“We measure success in decades, not quarters.”
When I joined the firm, I promised myself that we would only give advice we would follow ourselves. Twenty-five years later, that promise still decides who we hire, what we recommend and which clients we accept.

A first meeting is always without obligation, and always with a partner.
